Plain-English guide
Peptides 101
StripDose Editorial · Educational, not medical advice
Before any single molecule, the basics: what a peptide even is, without the jargon.
What it is
A peptide is a short chain of amino acids — the same building blocks that make up proteins, just fewer of them linked together. Your body makes and uses peptides constantly as signaling molecules. 'Peptide therapy' refers to using specific peptides for wellness or clinical goals.
What research explores
- Different peptides play different roles in the body's natural processes
- The oral-strip format aims to make a category most people know as injections easier to keep

What research hasn't established yet
Because peptides are chains of amino acids, digestion tends to break them down — the plain reason many are injected. How much survives via an oral film is still being mapped, molecule by molecule.
Regulatory status, in plain English
Wellness peptides here are offered as supplements (not FDA-approved) or, for prescription-class compounds, only through a licensed-provider consult. None are intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Safety & who should ask first
This is general information, not medical advice. Talk to a healthcare professional before starting any supplement — especially if you're pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or under medical care. Not for anyone under 18.
